Rodi Style is one of the most exciting and fresh DJ's on the Hard Dance scene. His attention to detail and the ability to craft a unique turntablist influenced set has propelled him into becoming one of the most in demand Hard Dance DJs on the circuit. As a producer, he has released over 50 singles on well recognized labels such as Tidy Trax, Vicious Circle, Toolbox Recordings and Flashpoint Records with tracks obtaining spots in the top 10 regularly. Already established as one of Canada's top performers, Rodi Style has turned heads in the UK having been the first North American to win an award at the Hard Dance Awards (Best New Face 2008) and the only international DJ on the world famous Tidy Trax roster. Rodi Style has also joined the ranks of the elite, having mixed the critically acclaimed "Music For A Harder Generation" album series in 2008. Tipped by Mixmag, Cream, Paul Glazby and Ben Stevens as a DJ to keep an eye out for Rodi Style is fast becoming one of Hard Dance's biggest stars.
Never afraid to push boundaries, Rodi's sets combine smooth mixing, scratching, audio manipulation through the use of FX and CDJ trickery combined with his signature brand of no nonsense Hard House. Consistent DJ sets and unique performances have seen Rodi Style billed at the award winning Storm and Cyberkitten, the legendary Tidy Weekender, Global Gathering, Creamfields and Coloursfest.
Extending far past his talents as a DJ, Rodi Style is also a prolific producer in the Hard Dance scene. His music has seen the top of the charts at Tidydigital.com, bangingtunes.com, appeared in Mixmag, M8 Magazine, DJMAG and has been aired on BBC Radio1. His music is played by nearly every Hard Dance DJ in the world including; Lisa Lashes, Tidy Boys, Andy Farley, Anne Savage, BK, Paul Glazby, Proteus, Ben Stevens, Amber D, Paul Maddox and more. His commitment to the hard dance genre has also seen Rodi Style venture into the record label business with his vinyl imprint "Kung Fu Wax". Already garnishing massive support in the Hard Dance scene, the release schedule is looking solid with an exciting number of productions from heavyweights Defective Audio, Ben Stevens, Nik Denton, Technikal, Riggsy and more.
Not restricted to just one style of music, Rodi Style has been instrumental as an engineer in a number of House and Trance productions under his various aliases and has co-written for various DJs around the world. His capabilities have shone through with tracks signed to global record giants such as; Full Body Soundsystem, Tunnel Records, Total Recordings Italy, Money Shot Records, DigitalGroove, Toolbox House and ASquared Records.
"Rodi is by far my favorite North American hard-dance producer. The quality of tracks produced by Rodi Style is consistent with those who have been producing tracks for well over 20 years. His melodies and beats are manufactured to the point where the simplest detail in a song is never overlooked. With his production being this good ... you should see the man play live!"
Thanks for the add. Your productions and style is wicked. Glad to see some Canadians representin' it in the big league. Come to Vancouver some time. Enjoy your summer.
Yeah, probably between the alias and that I lost a lot of weight it would be hard to recognize me...haha! I've been good. The scene out in SF is good. It's just rare to get booked to play hard house out here now these days. Nobody is booking hard house. Thus the reason why I'm playing more electro and house these days but I'm still down for a hard house gig if somebody books me to play it.
By the way, your Kung Fu label is awesome! You have some great tracks out on it! I've seen you playing at a lot of great events out there in London. It's great to hear you're doing so good out there. Looks like I'll have to make my way out there to visit you in London now sometime in the future!
